Since the dawn of time, creatures borne of the ground looked to the sky.  The mysteries of the world and the heavens could be attained if only one had wings.  For centuries these creatures have tried to reach that point of limitless refuge, to know all that has been unknowable (Except for the birds and the dragons.  They see it all the time and think it’s no big deal but no one listens).

Ollie Bug, Spider of Adventure asks these questions, too.  What does it feel like to fly, to be weightless, to see the curve of Mother Earth from so lofty a point?  He’s spent countless hours imagining, drawing, figuring and building.  In his secret hangar (an unused barn behind his house) where no one can see (except anyone walking by), Ollie built the answer to his questions, the key to his dreams and the means of his salvation.  Ollie Bug had built a machine he called The Deliverer for the sole purpose of breaking gravity’s hold and granting him his rightful place among the clouds (and the birds, don’t forget the birds).

As the sun rose over Moonwater Meadow a single hangar door opened.  A lone figure in a slightly lose fitting flight suit and holding a strawberry pop tart stepped from among the shadows and looked to the dawning sky.

The sound of a popcorn popper fuel generator broke the silence followed by the unmistakable sound of a throaty engine.  A propeller spun to life.   Adventure was on the horizon…

As The Deliverer sped down the runway into destiny, Gordon, the dragon said to himself, “He could have just asked me for a ride…
