O is for Ollie Bug (that’s me) #atozchallenge
My pal who writes my stories asked me to tell you a little bit about me. Well, as you can see, I’m rather handsome and dapper. I have five legs where most spiders have eight. When I’m spayed out I look like the points of a star. I usually like to run around naked but my mamma thinks I should wear clothes. I do like clothes though, usually bright colored shorts and sneakers and bow ties. I like bow ties. I have a flight suit, too. And a space suit. And a pirate suit. Well, I have lots of different suits.
I like chocolate and cookies and pizza and tacos. I like spaghetti too but one long strand usually makes me full. I like to eat flowers, also. So many flavors. Mama has a garden where I’m not allowed to play because I end up eating all her prized flowers. They are pretty and they smell nice, too.
I like to dance but when I do my pants fall off. Everyone laughs so I do it often.
I like to build things. I make race cars and rockets and stuff. They don’t usually work right the first time which results in lots of clean up and mama warning me about flammable things. Sometimes they work too well and I get stuck in space. I’m good friends with the moon so he helps me get back home. I souped-up the lawn mower one time and it ran wild and scorched most of the lower meadow. It didn’t smell nice but we didn’t have to mow it for a month. The flowers didn’t like being chased away very much, either but they came back and were mad at me.
In the summer we go to the BlisterFoot Beach where we build castles and swim. Once, my friends buried me in the sand and I tunneled to the other side of the beach and scared the fur off them. That was fun. Other times we sit with lemonade in the treehouse and watch the sun set. The tree house serves as our pirate ship and we attack other treehouses with jelly cannons. Again, lots of cleanup.
I like to bake but I’m not allowed in the kitchen alone anymore on the count of me adding too much to a cookie recipe. It tasted good but it was the size of small planet. Mama didn’t like how we took the sides off the stove to bake it. So now I can only make toast.
I like to fly, too so I build jet packs and wing machines. Once, I tied one hundred helium balloons to a beach chair but forgot to tie it to the ground. I’m still waiting for the chair to come home.
I like making new friends, too. You can never have too many friends. We go to the movies and play in the field. Sometimes we go on adventures out to sea to find pizza sea monsters and the fabled burrito octopus. They have the best parties when they aren’t trying to eat you.
That’s my life, really. Mama calls me mischievous but I call it adventurous. I like to play and dance in the sun and I like to roll around the snow in the winter. I make friends easily and I like to share my things with my friends so they can have fun, too.
You should come visit, We’d be pretty great friends.
