New Year Aloha Greetings Friends!
Welcome to a brand new year! It’s like opening a brand new notebook of clean, blank pages ready for you to make something.
Let’s start with one important resolution:
Since the new year happens in winter, I like to think of it as a field of freshly fallen snow. I can run outside and make footprints everywhere. My friends and I can make snow angels all over the place. We can have giant snowball fights with an army of snow pirates. Or… I can just look out my window and gaze across the perfect, undisturbed snowy landscape. The possibilities are endless.
A whole new year of adventures!
Each day brings a new possibility for an adventure. It could be anything from flying a kite to getting stuck in the mud which is more fun than you think.
A whole new year of new friends!
I love making new friends, don’t you? Every new day you could meet a new friend. Maybe they like the same stuff as you or maybe they don’t. All you need to have in common is a want to make a new pal.
A whole new year of stories!
Of course, with new adventures and new friends comes all new stories. Sometimes they’re fun stories about climbing trees. Other times they’re not so fun like when you go to the bathroom at the movies and come back to your seat and discover find your friends ate all your popcorn.
A whole new year of fun!
While we can’t have fun all the time, we can try to make some part of every day at least a little fun. Trying is fun in itself.
We can forget all the stuff we did last year and start fresh. Unless you blew up the barn last summer during a rocket test. Mama tends to remember these things.
I have big plans this year. I have lots of new stories I can’t wait to share with you and I can’t wait to hear all about yours!
Away we go!
