K is for Koala #atozchallenge

Today we meet another of Ollie’s pals in Moonwater Meadow.  This is Spoon, the meadow’s resident Koala.  Like most Koalas, she spends her time hugging things like trees, couches and Ollie.   Of everyone, she likes cuddles the most.

Spoon keeps tools and things in her pouch when there’s a new project.  Once she kept popcorn and butter in her pouch to fuel a jetpack mishap but the butter melted and for a week everyone kept thinking it was movie night when she was around.  She’s always ready to lend a hand in Ollie’s flights of fancy and often giggles at the troubles he gets into but she’s loyal, loveable and kind.

Spoon loves naps, tacos, pizza and eucalypt leaf sandwiches.  She lives in the tress in the meadow, mostly in the branches of the bigger leafy trees.  While not as clumsy as Gordon the dragon  (who sneezes fire and crash lands), she has been known to snore herself out of the trees and into the bushes below.  Other times she falls asleep in the middle of Ollie’s experiments which often result in missing parts or  her cuddling the back of a rocket that’s about to be launched.  There was that one time she fell asleep at the table on pizza night and fell over into the pizza, snoring away.  It took her a few days week to get all the pepperoni off her fur and the ants kept following her into the trees.

Despite all this, she is a special member of the group which all feel wouldn’t be the same without her.
