January 23, Canoe Down A Snowy Mountain Day!

Today is the day you grab your pals and jump in a canoe and sleigh down the mountains. Yes, a canoe.

There’s nothing more exciting than careening down a snowy cold mountain side until you realize you can’t steer a canoe! But that just makes it more fun. Unless there are lots of bumps or a few trees. In this case, there was a ramp and quite a few very big solid looking trees.

 

And that’s where it looks like a scene from a very cool movie:

That’s what canoe-mounted jelly cannons are for. They don’t knock the trees down but they make crashing into them a lot softer and tastier. I usually pack some peanut butter, too.

 

 

At the bottom of the mountain we all have some hot chocolate to get warmed up again.

 

 

 

Then we load the jelly cannons and hike up the mountain and do all over again!
